Hi pple!! i've start work since the 10th of January.. and have been very busy eversince... my off days are spent either going out with friends..... dancing or simply sleeping at home... yes i have lots more of pic to upload but i don't seem to have the time rite now... maybe one day when i'm a bit free i will upload it... thanks to u guys who has always been coming here to see the latest updates abt myself... u guys take care~~ till then...

Finally the day i was waiting fer has arrive.. today is the day tt i would leave on my jet plane to sumatra palembang, bayuasin for my missionary trip against filariasis.... my group is made up of 6 students from ITE Bishan including my self, 4 NTU students and 3 NUS student. Accompanying us on this trip is Colonel Lim Theam Poh & Miss Dawn Neo.... I only got to know my group members 10 days prior to the trip... but i can see that they are a very co-operative lot and i hope that things will go smoothly in this trip

We depart from Singapore at 12.30pm via GA825 and arrive in Jakarta airport at 13.05pm jakarta time. As our next flight GA116 is at 15.30pm jakarta time.. we burn time by playing wacko, seven up, and lots more in the middle of jakarta airport..... it was such an ice breaker for the group and we began to get to know each other better.......

We finally arrive in Palembang airport at 16.30 palembang time where we board our bus tt will take us around fer the next few days.... the bus is small, cramp with no air condition and high windows that makes it more stuffy then ever...... the distant from palembang airport to the Bayuasin village takes abt 1hr.

When we finally reached our destination we were greeted by the youth who hurrily form 2 straight lines on the left and right upon seeing us alight from the bus..... we were greeted by the village songs and warm handshake before we were ushered to our rooms...

i was extremely impressed with the accomodation that they gave us.. my mind was actually tuned to the fact that i'm going to sleep on cement floors but wow they actually got beds with pillow in a room with attach bathroom!!!!!!!! wat a great luck.... it was damn hot and i was stinking smelly that i rush dinner and bath.... damn the lights was not working... but luckily mamasan got TAP LIGHT and i just braced myself to bath in that dark gloomy bathrooom with i don't know wat that might be crawling on the floor...

we had a get to know session with the kids from red cross bayuasin.. we introduced ourself and sang a few song to break the ice.. they were a friendly bunch.. too friendly....

had a group practise of our dikir barat in dawn's room followed by putting together the poster for the prvention of mosquito breeding health talk.........

it was very hard to sleep as the room was stuffy with no fan and we can't open the door nor windows to let the air in as mosquitoes and other flying crawlies will also be joining us to sleep if we do... haizzz.. it took us a while to finallly Zzzzzzzzzz.... i wonder wat tommorrow has in store for us.........
